(P)Review : Fringe Season 1

Merely a child to the world of prime-time television, Fringe, a cross-breed of the X-files and CSI, will begin its second season this Fall on Fox. The first few episodes ran a little slow for me, but I was quickly greeted with a jaw dropping finale a few episodes in that immediately hooked me to a show which blurs the line between Science Fiction and reality. Fringe began as the brain-child of J. J. Abrams, (creator of LOST, Cloverfield, and the new Star Trek movie,) and has grown to average almost 10 million viewers a night. Fringe pushes the envelope of everyday TV drama by cutting out five to ten minutes of commercials a night, which adds quite a bit more time in which to blow your mind. If the first episode doesn’t have you hooked immediately, keep watching because Fringe will surprise you, it will confuse you, it will make you cringe and it most certainly will make your jaw drop and head spin in confusion. The second season will begin Thursday, September 17th at 9pm. So if you’re like myself, and enjoy television shows that will make you question what we call reality, I strongly suggest you tune in.
